Fundraising at Lyveden

Fiction books in the Fundraising Room

Lyveden’s fundraising room is located next to the Visitor Centre when you enter the property, here you can purchase second hand books, treats hand-knitted by our volunteers, plants or a raffle ticket.

All the money from items sold in the fundraising room helps to support projects at Lyveden, across the whole property. These range from the tools our outdoor team need to continue the conservation of the scheduled monument, expanding our range of school activities on offer and beginning a programme of conservation work that checks and replaces the mortar in the garden lodge to ensure the building remains protected from the elements for another 400 years.

Lyveden’s landscape will be changing over the next few years, as we begin a project that hopes to reconnect the Manor with the rest of the site. This project will mean visitors can experience Lyveden as Thomas Tresham intended, as a journey through his elaborately designed Elizabethan gardens before viewing the garden lodge itself. More information about the project, and how you can support it, will be available in the Project blog.

As a charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters to look after the historic buildings in our care. Not only do our supporters help to conserve beautiful homes and stunning gardens. They also ensure that future generations have places where they can be inspired by stories of the past, enjoy peace and time to reflect, and make memories to treasure.
