Looking at Lyveden differently

Inside the kitchen in the garden lodge

Over the winter we had the opportunity to work with Screen Northants and young people from across Northamptonshire to create a new introductory film for Lyveden as part of our sneak peek visits to Lyveden Manor. The film explored a different perspective on faith, belief and the Tresham story.

The finished Screen Northants film was viewable as part of our sneak peek visits to Lyveden Manor. Unfortunately the Manor is no longer open to the public. Watch this space for more updates on the Lyveden Reconnected project.

The group filmed at Lyveden with two contrasting narrators giving different perspectives on the story of Lyveden and its relevance to the modern world. The film prompts visitors to not only explore the past, but consider how themes from Lyveden's history - such as faith, belief and identity - apply to our lives today.

While planning for the film, the group talked about Lyveden and what they'd do with it if it was theirs. It was a place of truth for Thomas Tresham. What truth would the young people we're working with transmit to the public through their use of Lyveden manor?
