Eating at Mottisfont

Treat yourself to something tasty from one of our cafés when you visit. Whether you’re seeking a full meal or a light bite, we have a variety of different outlets to suit all cravings.

The Old Kitchen

Open from 10am daily

Discover delicious, seasonal food in the Old Kitchen, located in our former Victorian kitchens. You'll find this on the lower corridor of our historic house, near the Cellarium.

This is the place to visit for the full range of hot meals, plated salads, home-made cakes and hot drinks, all served on china. As well as tasty recipes taken from the National Trust cookbook, we serve up a range of special, seasonal dishes unique to Mottisfont, using local ingredients.

The Coach House Café, located in the Stables, serves lighter bites: lunches, snacks and treats. Try a bowl of soup or stew, find hot and cold sandwiches to eat in or take away, and stock up on cakes and drinks.

Everything is served on plant-based disposable tableware, all of which is composted or recycled. This café is very accessible for families, with seating both indoors and outside.

The Coffee Shop

Alongside the Coach House Cafe in the Stables, this additional outlet opens on busy days, serving hot drinks and a small range of snacks. It’s perfect for a quick refreshment stop, and there’s dog-friendly indoor seating, too.
