Eating at Mottisfont

Visitor with a hot drink at Rainham Hall

Mottisfont's beautiful grounds are the perfect place to explore. Why not pop into one of our cafes for a tasty treat or a hot drink on your visit?

We look forward to welcoming you back and know that you’ll support us to make this a safe experience for everyone. Our cafés continue to prioritise the health and safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors.

We'll continue to provide hand sanitiser and we recommend that face coverings are worn in our cafes. You'll find a one-way queueing system for placing and collecting orders. There are protective screens at the till and collection points, and hand sanitiser available. We accept card and cash payments, but prefer contactless whenever possible.

What's open

The Old Kitchen cafe is open for hot food, snacks and drinks. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating avaliable. The Coach House cafe in the stables is open, serving a limited offer of hot and cold drinks and food for takeaway and has both indoor and outdoor seating avaliable.

The Kitchen Garden Kiosk is open daily from 10.30am until 4pm, serving a limited takeaway offer of drinks and light snacks, with outdoor seating available inside the Kitchen Garden.  We also offer icecream, served from the Jude's Icecream horsebox (weather dependent - open from 12noon until 4pm).

What to expect

We're still serving up delicious homemade treats, but social distancing guidelines and a limited kitchen space means that we're not able to prepare many of the meals you may be used to seeing on our menu.

If you have dietary requirements you may prefer to come prepared, as with a limited offer we can't guarantee that we'd have what you need. We do have a small range of gluten and dairy-free food available, and soya or oat milk for hot drinks.

Takeaway food is served on plant-based disposable tableware which is composted or recycled.
