Mottistone Gardens Christmas Market

Low winter sunlight through the gateway in the barn of Mottistone Gardens

This was about our Christmas market in 2019, which has now finished. As frosts start to paint the world a glistening white, and the high street begins to buzz with people, escape to the tranquil gardens at Mottistone for a special Christmas market.

On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December, to coincide with Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival, the ancient site will be hosting local arts and crafts producers.

Open from 10am until 4pm each day, inside the festively decorated Tudor barn there'll be hand-crafted gifts made by Island artists, and in the shop, National Trust products inspired by the places we care for.

Additional entertainment

Against the backdrop of the ancient manor house, a woodwind quintet will fill the courtyard with Christmas music and the festive aroma of warming mulled wine, gingerbread muffins and melt-in-the-mouth sausage rolls will waft through the winter air, enticing hungry tummies to indulge in a little seasonal cheer.

Best of all, entry is free and the gardens will be open to explore.
