I teach Egyptology at the University of Oxford, and specialise in historical, linguistic, and textual studies. I carry out my research both in the field, as a member of archaeological expeditions to Egypt and Sudan, and in museum and manuscript collections throughout Europe and the USA. I am a contributor to the Trusted Source project.
