Visiting Quebec House with your dog

Dog walking on a lead

Find out where dogs can and cannot go on your visit here to Quebec House.

Where can my dog go?

You are more than welcome to bring your dog to the garden here at Quebec House, although we please ask you to keep them on a short lead at all times due to the small nature of the property and nearby main road.

Where can't my dog go?

Assistance dogs only are allowed in the house. Please leave your dog outside when in the Coach House as well.

What do I need to be aware of at Quebec House?

Please be aware that Quebec House is a tennated property and the current tennants have their own dogs that you may meet on a visit.

We've worked with natural pet food maker, Forthglade, to produce the Canine Code to ensure everyone has an enjoyable visit.

  • Take the lead: help reduce the chance of your pup disturbing wildlife by keeping them on a lead.
  • Scoop that poop: bag it and bin it to keep your favourite places beautiful.
  • Paws for thought: look out for information signs and take extra care on cliff paths.
  • Be on the ball: not everyone loves dogs, so keep them close by.

Facilities available for my dog

There are no water bowls or dog waste bins available at Quebec House itself. The nearest dog waste bin is in the main council carpark a short walk down the road. Please do not use the general waste bins provided in the Garden for dog waste.

Please keep our gardens clean and safe for everyone to enjoy by picking up after your dog.
