Heritage Open Day

Visit a number of National Trust attractions free of charge today, including Rowallane Garden. Get an insight into the heritage and conservation of the amazing places right on your doorstep.
Join us and disconnect from your worries with a Mindfulness Meander. This Self-lead walk will take you around the garden and encourage you to take the time and become more aware of where you are and what you’re doing. Please take the time and become mindful of us at Rowallane Garden.
10 am to 6 pm each day.
Rowallane Garden wants you to get creative! Join us and take part in some wild art from a nature weave to being creative wit autumnal leaves. There fun to be had for all.
Autumn Plant Fair
29 September 11am-4pm.
Browse through the specialist plant stalls and glean some gardening hints and tips from our expert gardening team. Rowallane’s Head Gardener, Averil Milligan remarked ‘Autumn is a fabulous time to move plants when the soil is still warm and the growing season is closing down. Plants get a chance to settle down with as little stress as possible and will grow well next spring’. Round off your visit by popping into the Café for a hot cup of tea and a warming bowl of soup.
Autumn is a time of harvest. Join us as we taste our way around a selection of wholesome seasonal delights. All grown, foraged and made right here at Rowallane Garden.
Ghosts and Gourds Spooktacular
20-21 October, 11am-5pm
Take the Tree Terror Trail, say boo to the sinister characters from Premiere Circus and see your little monsters transformed with some fearsome, freaky face painting. Don't escape without beheading and carving your very own pumpkin to take home and ward away the evil spirits. Additional Cost for trail £1.50
and pumpkin £3.00.
Poison Chocolate Apple Dunking
28 October - 4 November, 11am-2pm
Pop into the café for terrifying family fun. Your little witch or wizard can dunk their apple into molten chocolate and take their treat home while you sit back and enjoy one of our bonfire lattes and ghoulish treat.
Terror Tree Trail
20 October- 4 November, 11am-5pm
Get goosebumps as your imagination explores strange and spooky sights in our Tree Terror Trail in the garden. Discover the spooky history and mythology of some Rowallanes trees. Solves the puzzles, learn some facts and collect your prizes.
