Getting your hands dirty
Do you love spending time in the great outdoors come rain or shine? Fancy getting stuck in and adding your mark on the landscape? Volunteers are an essential part of managing our woodlands, hedges, paths and grassland. From coppicing to hedge planting and from building benches to cutting meadows, they help make the countryside a great place for wildlife and our visitors. Get in touch to join one of our regular Ranger led weekday groups, no previous skills are required, just a willingness to get stuck in and get grubby.
Bringing Slindon to life
Our Ranger team run guided walks and events throughout the year. It's an important way to share the delights of Slindon and get people out into the countryside. We rely on volunteers to help make our wild ideas a reality. No previous experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a love of people.
Do you already have a passion for the English countryside's flora and fauna? Our Ranger team conduct wildlife and habitat surveys to monitor some of the key species and places at Slindon, throughout the year. If you'd like to help us, some species knowledge would be of an advantage but it's not essential.
Group volunteer weekends
During the autumn and winter months, groups stay at Slindon Bunkhouse for the weekend and work with one of our rangers out on the estate. If you have a conservation minded group who Get in touch to find out more.
