Get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and create lasting memories at Springhill this harvest time. With a variety of seasonal activities and points of interest each weekend there will be something for all to enjoy

Come and enjoy the seasonal activities to celebrate harvest at Springhill

Saturday 6 October:

Join Springhill's Ranger, Sophie and some of the folk from Cookstown Wildlife Trust and identify over 20 different species of funghi whilst exploring the estate. You may be lucky enough to discover the delicate 'lilac bonnet', or even the gruesome 'deadman's finger'. Kids can create bunting with leaves, follow a fun funghi trail, and investigate our cosy picnic area in the Dove Cote.

Sunday 7 October:

Join Warren our Ranger for an autumn guided walk, with a harvest theme.

The allotments will be open for you to check out what is ready for harvesting behind the wall. Kids can crunch leaves and enjoy the natural play area. Seasonal treats will be available in the Barn Cafe.

Saturday 13 October:

Find out how the family would have celebrated harvest at Springhill as you are taken on a guided tour of the house. Kids, check at reception for your fun activites

Sunday 14 October

Hedgerow Harvest - Join our Ranger to discover what bounty nature provides for animals and people alike during autumn.

Saturday 20 October

Join the house team for a guided tour of the house and hear about what the conservation team will be up to behind the scenes as they prepare the house for winter. Kids, check at reception for your fun activity and enjoy crunching the leaves under your feet. CHeck our the seasonal fayre in the Barn Cafe.

Sunday 21 October

See Springhill in a whole new light this autumn. Warren will tell you stories of the estate as you walk along the paths. Kids, collect your leaves around the estate and create your own masterpiece. Find out about Leaf Compost and how easy it is to make.
