A Coastal Garden
The coastal garden season places a spotlight on our unique cliff-side seaside garden. Despite the gales and salty winds the Gulf Steam tempers the climate so that frosts are a rarity and the rock acts as a gigantic radiator.
Take the journey over to the unique tidal island and breathe in the sea air. Scented with springtime blossom or summer herbs, view the collection that includes puya, aloe, and agave rearing out of the bedrock, with succulents forming hot spots of suprise throughout the garden.
From 17 April, daily at 1pm, Monday - Friday. Visitors will have the chance to meet one of the gardening team, including our head gardener, Lottie Allen. Learn what the four strong team do day-to-day and hear about the garden's history and current design.
Sunday 28 May- Friday 2 June, 2pm-4pm. Bring the kids this half term and help them pot a plant that they can take away with them, their very own little piece of St Michael's Mount.
Sunday 28 May. A rare chance to visit the garden on a Sunday with all proceeds being donated to the NGS.

The Mount is managed by both the National Trust and the St Aubyn family, working together. This unique partnership supports the Mount's vibrant island community, continuing a remarkable legacy of life and activity which has existed since prehistoric times.
