May half-term at The Weir Garden
The theme for our half-term trail, available from Friday 25 May, is the wide variety of trees we have through-out the gardens. Pick up a trail sheet at reception to learn about the trees and track some of our guests that make them their homes.
Plus you can see the final moments of spring in the Woodland Garden, with bluebells on the banks of the river being taken over by the campanula’s and red campion of early summer. May is the best time to see our flowers in bloom and the wildlife that lives along the river Wye in our quiet corner of Herefordshire.
Afterwards have a swing in our natural play area or relax on the banks of the river Wye. You can also tick off a few more of your ' 50 things to do' list like hunting for bugs or making your own trail with sticks.
The walled garden
Plenty is going on in the walled garden too with beans, carrots, onions and root crops being sown in the vegetable plots. Whilst the tulips are in flower and the summer bedding are being planted in the flower borders.
So whether you want a more formal garden or the natural planting and wild flowers of the woodland garden, The Weir has something for you to see.
