Want to come and enjoy the peace and beauty of The Weir Garden on a regular basis? Volunteering with The National Trust can be really rewarding and fun.

Volunteer roles vary at The Weir so you can pick what most appeals to you or even try your hand at a few things.

If you love the idea of spending a little more time at The Weir Garden and the thought of getting involved with our various work and programmes, why not consider volunteering with us?

You can offer as little or as much time as possible, with a variety of roles on offer, we’re pretty sure we’ve got something for everyone. All you need is a love of the outdoors and a can-do attitude. You will be helping protect and preserve this special historical site for future generations to come.

Our volunteers require no previous experience, all training is given and our friendly team of staff and existing volunteers are happy to guide you along the way.

Garden volunteers

If you’ve got green fingers then why not join our gardening team? We simply can’t think of a better way to spend the day than fresh air, muddy fingers and a view of the River Wye.

Visitor Experience volunteers

Do you have a creative eye? Do you like interacting with people or perhaps you’re good at constructing things? Either way, we’d love to have you join our team to help us make events here even better.

Car parking volunteers

We really appreciate help with the car park during busy times, it really makes a difference to a visitor’s day if they can arrive and leave as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Visitor Reception and tours

Our Visitor Reception team always appreciate a helping hand and will shadow you as you scan membership cards and give out information to the general public. If you feel like it, you may even want to conduct tours, we’re here to support along the way.

If you like the sound of volunteering at The Weir Garden then please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
