2022 at Tredegar House
Although the world remains a little uncertain, we’re hoping to have an exciting year as we celebrate our 10th anniversary as part of the National Trust.
As 2022 approaches, we’ve been looking ahead at what next year has in store. We’ve got plenty of inspiring activities up our sleeves, but for now this is what we have planned for the year ahead...
23rd December 2021 – 18th February 2022
The house and gardens will be closed for the winter while we complete some of our annual conservation tasks that require a little more space. The house will have a complete spring clean, while the gardens hibernate ready to flourish when warmer weather arrives.
The café, bookshop and park will remain open at different times throughout this period, and you can find more details about their opening times on our homepage.
We’ll also have a few wintery activities for you to enjoy as you explore the parkland, which are available to download on our park page here.
February Half Term
19th – 27th February
The house and gardens reopen just in time for February half term. We’ll have seasonal activities ready for a fun-filled week, including our 50 Things To Do Before You’re 11 ¾ activity sheets. The Brewhouse café will be serving their usual tasty treats, while the bookshop will be open with literary treasures for you to find.
Entry fees apply to the house and gardens. The parkland is free to explore.
Saint David's Day
26th February – 6th March
A proud Welsh family, the Morgans of Tredegar House have over 500 years of history in South Wales. We’ll be paying homage to their Welsh heritage this St David’s Day with a trail of dragons in the house and exploring Welsh traditions in the gardens.
Entry fees apply to the house and gardens. The trails are free to enjoy inside the house and gardens.
Easter Adventures in Nature trail
11th – 18th April
We’re bringing back our Easter Adventures in Nature trail this spring! Watch the gardens transform with new life and explore hidden corners along your way. Earn your chocolatey reward as you find and complete each activity on your journey.
Trail packs cost £3 each, in addition to entry fees for the house and gardens.
Behind the Scenes tours
Dates to be confirmed, but we hope to host these in early spring
Take a peek through the keyhole and access areas of the house not usually on view to visitors on a fascinating guided tour. Explore the depths of our cellars as our historians take you behind-the-scenes at Tredegar House.
