Eating at Tredegar House

A boy enjoys a scone with jam and cream

We’ve reopened our indoor seating and will be open every day from 10am - 5pm, serving a selection of food and drink including sandwiches, cakes and ice cream.

At the heart of Tredegar House’s home farm is the Brewhouse café, which is the perfect place to rest and refuel after exploring the vast grounds. Originally the home of the Morgan family’s horses, the building became the Morgan’s very own brewery. We now use it as our café, but a taste of its history is still visible today.

Our seasonal and locally sourced menus are prepared daily, with all profits going back into the conservation of Tredegar House you can enjoy those tasty treats guilt free. Serving up a range of hot and cold dishes, cakes, bakes and treats, the Brewhouse is the first port of call for those looking to relax and refuel.

Keeping everyone safe

Under Welsh Government guidance, we've introduced new safety measures to keep everyone safe. This includes screens at our tills and waymarked routes. We’re also only accepting payment by card

Please help keep everyone safe by following these rules:

  • Wear a face mask when indoors
  • Keep a safe distance of two metres from other people
  • Pay by card
  • Provide your details for the ‘Test, Trace, Protect’ programme
  • Scan our QR code with your NHS Test and Trace app

Every person at your table will need to give their details to a member of our team as part of the Welsh Government's Test, Trace, Protect programme. You can do this inside the cafe when you order your food. We’ll ask you to scan your membership card or to leave contact details if you’re not a member. We’ll also ask you to provide verification of your name. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.

Please be patient with our team, who are working hard to adapt the site to keep everyone safe.
