Hallowe'en half-term fun
Prepare for a spooky half-term at Trerice as Hallowe'en descends on the ghostly manor house. There’ll be activities, a Hallowe’en trail, stargazing and spooky Trerice by night – if you’re brave enough!
Search the house for Tudor plague cures attached to the bellies of rats that carry the most gruesome of ailments in the Trerice Hallowe’en trail. Find the cures in the wordsearch and hope you will be spared, once finished go to reception for a badge to ward off the evils of the sickness.
On Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 October make Hallowe’en themed mobiles of bats or ghoulish ghosts with Trerice volunteers in the undercroft. This activity runs from 11:00 – 16:00 and costs £1 per mobile.
Tick off #27 of your ‘50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾’ and gaze at the stunning Cornish skies above Trerice on Friday 27 October at a free event with Kernow Astronomers, there’ll also be an astronomy film-show and talks that will run even if cloudy. A stargazing exhibition will also be in the hayloft throughout half-term week from 21 October.
The pinnacle of half-term Hallowe’en fun at Trerice is the annual Spooky Trerice by Night, Saturday 28 October. Explore Trerice at night as it’s taken over by ghosts, ghouls and all manner of horrors in a spooky evening of scares and screams. Suitable for all the family, don’t forget to bring a torch!
