Japanese artist returns to Uppark 2016

Painting by Takumasa ono or Uppark, West Sussex

This article was about our activities at Uppark in 2016. We’ll be updating this with 2017 event information later in the year. Please go to our main Uppark House and Gardens homepage to find out what we're doing this year.

Each piece is based on sketches the artist has made whilst touring historic National Trust locations around the UK.
As well as the exhibition, there will be a chance to meet and chat with the artist, who will be in residence here at Uppark for two weeks.

All of the art works created by Takumasa are for sale, and a percentage of each sale will be donated to the National Trust to help towards our conservation work.
The HENRO exhibition (meaning ‘pilgrimage’) is part of an ongoing country-wide initiative, supported by the Japanese Ministry of Culture, to promote Japan in the UK.
