Tyntesfield Bat Walk

Get up close to Tyntesfield's bats on this two-hour evening experience, featuring a guided walk, expert insights, and the chance to see bats in action at sunset

  • Booking essential

Join us for a fascinating two-hour evening experience and get up close to Tyntesfield’s resident bat population.

The event begins with an introductory talk, where you'll learn what to look and listen for during the walk, as well as discover more about the species that call Tyntesfield home.

From there, you'll make your way down to the house and stable yard before entering the Garden Passage, one of the best spots to observe bats as they swoop and dart overhead in search of insects.

As dusk falls, you'll continue through the estate towards the car park, learning about bat behaviour, conservation, and the legal protections that help safeguard these remarkable mammals. Along the way, you'll have the chance to spot and listen to different species in action, experiencing the magic of a historic landscape coming alive after sunset.
