Learn to carve your own wooden spoon with the Somerset Bodgers

This one day course takes you through the processes of safely carving a spoon from a piece of hardwood.
Axes and a variety of specialist knives are used to fashion the spoon and when complete, advice on caring for your creation and tools is given.
We have a good selection of spoon carving tools, so for anyone thinking of taking up this specialisation it's a good opportunity to try out what is available.

Head to the Welcome Building to sign in.
- What to bring and wear
Somerset Bodgers workshops take place outdoors, so please wear suitable clothing for the weather on the day.

When you have decided which course you want to do email somersetbodgers@icloud.com They will get back to you with bank details. You then make a payment and confirm. They will then send you a printable certificate. A reminder is sent out to participants about a week before the event with joining instructions. Timber for all courses is largely sourced from the Tyntesfield Estate and Leigh Woods.
