Chai and Chat: From Fast Fashion to Upcycling with Rukhsana Sardar
Join Sampad South Asian Arts and Heritage and Rukhsana Sardar for an evening of conversation and creativity.
- Booking essential
Rukhsana shares her journey from an international career in the fast-fashion industry to building her own sustainable upcycling fashion business.
From working across the world to rescuing unwanted clothing, Rukhsana will talk about what inspired her to make a change, what she has learned along the way and how she gives textiles a second life.
The evening will include a chance to hear more about Rukhsana's journey, discover practical ideas for rethinking the clothes and fabrics you already have and ask questions during a Q&A.
Got an upcycling project you're stuck on? Bring it along! Participants are welcome to bring a piece or project they'd like advice on and ask Rukhsana for her ideas during the Q&A.
Come along, have a chat, and leave with some inspiration to repair, reuse, remake and rethink what you already have.
