Fused Glass Workshop with Suzie Lavender: Shape, Cut & Create and Platters & Curves Workshops

Throughout the day Wolverhampton glass artist Suzie from Suzie Lavender Contemporary Glass will be teaching two sessions of hands on fused glass making techniques with a technical twist!

You are welcome to attend either the morning or afternoon workshop or you can attend both sessions for the day at a discounted price. These workshops are suitable for beginners or as a refresher course. Your workshop ticket also entitles you to full entry to the Manor and Gardens, Café, Gallery and shop!

Morning Session 10:30am-12:30pm: Shape, Cut & Create Workshop – £45 A focused 2-hour session where you’ll learn essential fused-glass techniques, including cutting, layering, and assembly. With expert guidance and plenty of materials, you’ll design and create your own unique fused-glass picture tile.

Afternoon Session 1:30pm-3:30pm: Platters & Curves Glass Design Workshop – 345 Learn the art of glass slumping as you design and create a fused-glass piece shaped with heat and moulds. Choose on the day to make either a custom platter or a flowing wave-style curve for display at home.

Book onto both sessions for the discounted price of £85. All creations will be kiln fired by Suzie following the sessions and then collection from Wightwick Manor (or postage of the work can be organised) from 14 days later.

Booking essential, admission costs, all materials, safety equipment, tools, plus tea and coffee are provided in the workshop fee. Please wear closed toe shoes, workshop room not wheelchair accessible.

Suitability

Suitable for over 18's.

Meeting point

Please park in the main car park and make your way up the path to the Manor. The course will take place in the Meeting Room which is located above the Old Manor shop (not wheelchair accessible).

What to bring and wear

Please wear closed toe shoes, no stiletto heels.

Accessibility

Note that as Wightwick Manor is a historical venue, some floors may be unlevel. The Meeting Room is located on the second floor of the old Manor building, up a short flight of stairs (no wheelchair access). Visitor toilets are in a separate building next to the tearoom. Contact Suzie with any specific requests, access or assistance needs or requirements.

All creations will be kiln fired by Suzie following the sessions and then collection from Wightwick Manor (or postage of the work can be organised) from 14days later. Please note that access can be limited/difficult for persons with a disability due to the room’s location on the first floor. There is no lift and the room is not wheelchair accessible. Other venues where Suzie also holds workshops do have access however, please contact Suzie for more information.
