From autumnal garden highlights to workshops, exhibitions and family-friendly trails, there's something for everyone to enjoy this autumn at Anglesey Abbey.

Dazzling dahlias

The much-anticipated Dahlia Garden at Anglesey Abbey is now open. Planted in a sweeping rainbow formation, the garden boasts around 60 varieties of dahlia, providing splashes of early autumnal colour right up to the first frosts. The Dahlia Garden was designed by Lord Fairhaven in 1952 and to this day is one of the most popular seasonal displays in the Anglesey Abbey calendar. The best time to come and see this garden is in September, when you can also see the carpet of cyclamen as you walk from the Winter Garden to Lode Mill.

Heritage Open Days

12 to 21 September

Anglesey Abbey is opening its doors again for Heritage Open Days from 12 to 21 September and you are invited to book your free ticket to visit Anglesey Abbey here. Discover dahlias and carpets of cyclamen in the gardens and take a look around the plant centre to pick up some autumnal planting tips and pre-planted flower baskets.

Visitors can also come and see the Tailoring an Image fashion exhibition inside the house from 11am to 4pm (last entry 3.30pm), open until 31 October.
