Below the lavishly decorated living quarters of Wimpole Hall is a much more functional and far less glamorous space. Join us for a free tour visiting the seldom seen Wimpole Hall basement. Get a feel for these working rooms, understand their functions in the daily life of the Hall and get underneath the history of life below the 17th century mansion.
To join a tour, just pick up a ticket from the visitor welcome centre when you arrive, these tours are not pre-bookable. Full times can be found below.
Please note these tours are operated by volunteers and may be cancelled at short notice.

The basement floors are uneven and there are concrete steps down to the basement.
