Join the Cornish Coastal Meadows Project this National Meadows Day (4 July) and help restore Cornwall’s disappearing wildflower meadows.
Since the 1930s, the UK has lost around 97% of its species-rich grasslands. By collecting native wildflower seed from thriving meadow habitats, we can help create and restore biodiverse meadows across the Cornish coast supporting wildlife, pollinators and climate resilience for future generations.
We’ll be hosting this community meadow seed collection day at one of our donor field sites. Seeds collected by hand during the event will later be used to enhance existing meadows and establish new wildflower-rich habitats.
Adults and supervised children are warmly welcome and no prior experience is necessary.
