A chance to learn the traditional skills of scything and meadows management, as part of a series of workshops and events around Cornwall to celebrate National Meadows Day. Refresh existing skills and learn more about traditional wildflower meadow techniques. Led by Tom from Scythe Kernow.
Places are very limited, so please book early and contact us if you can no longer attend so that someone else can take the place.

- Meeting point
Meet in the higher car park at Porth, near the wooden gate by the welcome sign. Parking available in the higher and lower car parks at Porth (P&D charges apply; members free)
- What to bring and wear
Check the weather forecast and come clothed and equipped for a day working outside. Bring a water bottle, sun cream, sun hat and wear comfortable, practical footwear.
- Accessibility
Suitable for active and independently mobile participants. Others are welcome to come and observe.
- Other
Towan Meadow is on the path down to Towan beach at Porth, so we may get other visitors stopping to see what we're doing. We'll use the barn by the car park for our intro and break times if needed.
