National Meadows Day: Nature sketching in the meadows

Join us for a drop-in session, stay for as long as you like, on our creative sketching session celebrating meadows. Explore the colours, shapes and wildlife of this special place. Suitable for all abilities (no previous experience necessary) with inspiration and ideas to follow. All materials are provided.

The basics

Suitability

Suitable for all ages, U18s accompanied by an adult.

Meeting point

Meet in the meadow through the courtyard on the way to Towan beach at Porth. Parking available in the higher and lower car parks at Porth (P&D charges apply; members free)

What to bring and wear

Wear comfortable clothes suitable for visiting wild meadow areas, suggest long trousers if sitting on grass. Bring sun cream, hats and water and maybe a picnic chair as needed.

Accessibility

Toilets open during café opening with accessible toilet. Steep and uneven path onto beach.

Parking available in the two car parks at Porth: • Higher: https://what3words.com/winner.exchanges.shifters • Lower: https://what3words.com/urge.trade.fruitcake (members and blue badge holders free) The Thirstea Café at Porth (concession) will be open for drinks and snacks. There's plenty of space here for picnics too.
