Discover the Old Lake from a new perspective on a free guided walk. During the route, we’ll explore the landscape, share insights into recent restoration activity and talk about our plans to transform this area into a wildlife‑rich river environment.
Routes vary between 1.5 and 3 miles and may include stoned tracks or open fields. Our experienced volunteer walk leaders will be on hand throughout to support the group and share their knowledge.
Well‑behaved dogs on leads are welcome. This event is free.

The basics

- Meeting point
On arrival head to the Welcome Centre and inform them you are here for a well-being walk. The meeting point is outside the tea-room, where our walking volunteers will be to greet you.
- What to bring and wear
Sensible footwear, warm clothes and waterproofs. Dress for the weather.
- Accessibility
Ground will be uneven and over hilly terrain.
