Join us on Tuesday 6th October for a special opportunity to explore one of Castle Drogo’s most remarkable interiors and meet the authors of '60 Remarkable Rooms of the National Trust'.
National Curators Elizabeth Green, Lucy Porten and James Rothwell will be talking to visitors in the Butler’s Pantry, which is one of the Remarkable Rooms featured in the book.
They will be sharing the history, design and significance of this extraordinary space – and some of those around it - and what makes it so important within the Trust’s collection.

There is step free access into the castle. However the majority of the visitor route around the castle, including the Butler's Pantry, does require ascending and descending stairs. Please speak to our visitor welcome team on arrival or head to our website for our full access statement.
