The lichens of Lydford Gorge summer trail
Follow the trail around the orchard, answering questions and playing games, to learn about the plants that aren’t plants that fill the temperate rainforest at Lydford Gorge.

This is a free paperless trail starting at the Devil's Cauldron entrance. You could also take a hike through the temperate rainforest to see the Devil's Cauldron or Whitelady Waterfall and see how many lichens you can spot on the way. Running daily, between 10am and 4pm, Wednesday 15 July to Sunday 6 September.

- Meeting point
The trail will be in the orchard at the Devil's Cauldron entrance (EX20 4BH).
- What to bring and wear
The event is outside so please wear clothing suitable for the weather, sturdy footwear with good grip is recommended.
- Accessibility
Please note the orchard has uneven ground and some steep slopes. It's not suitable for pushchairs, for other accessibility arrangements please get in touch for more information.
- Other
This event is aimed at families, but everyone is welcome. Dogs are welcome on leads.
