Wild Wednesday Summer 2025
Join our community Ranger team this Summer for some forest school activities.

Throughout the summer join us for 2 different forest school activities from going on a mini beast bug hunt to discovering what lurks beneath the saltram water with pond dipping.
Wednesday 30th July - Pond Dipping Wednesday 13th August - Bug hunt Wednesday 20th August - Pond Dipping.
There will be 2 sessions running per day, please only book for one session. Booking is essential, £3 per child. Children over the age of 5 only, due to the nature of the activities and all children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
We will be exploring the pond near the main car park or walking up to the forest school. There are no admission charges, but you will need to pay for parking unless you are a NT member.
Please be aware, the walk to the forest school will take about 5-10 mins and up a steep hill. There are no toilets at either site, the closest toilets are at Visitor Welcome.

Please arrive 10 mins before the start of the session and we will walk as a group to either the forest school or the pond area. Meeting point at the duck pond outside the shop.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear clothing which you don't mind getting muddy and dirty.
- Accessibility
Offroad wheelchair and pushchairs only. Steep, wooded path to the forest school. If you have any specific access needs, please contact Saltram.
