May Half Term - Stories and Seedlings at Corfe Castle

Grow, explore and time travel this May half term. Join us at Corfe Castle for a fun mix of hands‑on planting and interactive storytelling with the Keeper of the Castle, where families are welcomed as guests from the past.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Plant your own nasturtium seeds in an eco pot and take home a little bit of history. Nasturtiums have long been valued for their colour and usefulness, much like the herbs and plants grown by the medieval community who once lived beneath these ancient walls.

Join the Keeper of the Castle on a lively, interactive storytelling tour that brings the past to life, revealing how kings, nobles and everyday visitors were received within these mighty walls. Through tales, games and hands‑on activities, uncover the truth about medieval merriment, courtly pastimes and the art of hospitality in a castle built to impress. Perfect for families, history lovers and curious explorers, this immersive experience transforms a visit to Corfe Castle into a journey through centuries of welcome, wonder and wit. Come not just to see the castle - come to be our guest. Free activities (donations welcome) Children under 5 must be supervised by a responsible adult Story tours begin at 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm and 3:30pm
