The Time Travellers Kitchen

Experience the sights, smells and flavours of the Middle Ages as The Time Travellers Kitchen arrives at Corfe Castle for a special weekend of live cooking demonstrations.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Join us for a weekend of medieval cooking demonstrations. Using authentic recipes and traditional methods over open fire, you’ll see how food was prepared and enjoyed hundreds of years ago. Along the way, uncover the stories behind the ingredients - from exotic spices brought back through trade and the Crusades to everyday foods that might still appear on our tables today. Designed with families in mind, this lively and engaging experience goes beyond cooking to bring medieval life to life. Discover what people ate, how meals reflected wealth and status, and how new flavours transformed British diets over time.
