Bus it Back - Lyme Regis to Charmouth
Meet our National Trust Walk Leader outside the National Trust, Lyme Regis shop and walk to Charmouth, before getting the bus back. Buses run regularly allowing you time to enjoy Charmouth or have a well earned refreshment in one of the cafes.

This is a 5km walk which takes around 2 hours and starts at 10.30am from the Lyme Regis shop on Marine Parade in Lyme Regis.
On this walk you will be led by our trained walk leader who is looking forward to guiding you to Charmouth Beach.
Once at Charmouth you will have the option to self guide back to Lyme Regis or we recommend getting the bus which leaves regularly from the main street in Charmouth. Remember to bring £3 for your bus ticket (adult) or £1.50 for a child, or bring your bus pass if you have one.
This walk is free for everyone, the only cost is for the bus ticket back to Lyme Regis.
To take part you must sign up before hand in the Lyme Regis shop or ring the shop on 01297 445828, there is no cost you just need to register your details.
This walk takes place on the 1st Wednesday in every month (April-September). Please be aware there is quite a steep uphill start to the walk before it levels out on reaching the golf course.
If you want to bring a child please be sure they can manage the 5km distance, little legs may get tired quickly on this walk as there is quite an uphill climb to begin.

The basics

Call in at the National Trust Lyme Regis shop to register your details before joining the walk. Please do this at least 24 hours before the walk.

- Meeting point
Meet outside the National Trust shop in Lyme Regis at Marine Parade, Lyme Regis, DT7 3JQ. The walk will depart at 10.30am.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing. You may also need a bottle of water.
- Accessibility
There is an uphill road section and an uphill walk through woodland. The ground is uneven in places and could be very muddy if there has been recent rain. The walk is NOT suitable for prams or pushchairs. Please be aware that some people may find the first uphill section a little difficult/tiring.

Please sign up to join the walk at the Lyme Regis shop or call the shop on: 01297 445828. The walk is free but you need to register your details at least 24 hours beforehand. You will need to bring money or a bus pass to pay for your ticket back to Lyme Regis by bus. This walk takes place on the 1st Wednesday in every month between April and September. The walk departs Lyme Regis shop (promptly) at 10.30am. Please be aware of the uphill climb which takes place near the start of the walk which some people may find tiring.
