There is a HIVE of activity happening down on Hive Beach, so why not become a Creative Coast Explorer with the National Trust and join the fun! Mainly on Wednesday (and one Friday 28 August) through the summer holidays, the National Trust, at Hive Beach, has a range of creative, fun and coastal based activities for young people and families to enjoy.
Sessions are FREE and people can turn up. No booking required.
Sessions are Wed 29 July, the 5, 12, 19 August, Friday 28 August and Wed 2 September. Start times will differ due the tide !
Details of each Creative Coastal Club are:
29th July 8.30 - 10am MOTH Investigation, turn up early and see what we found in our moth catcher. We will also have VR headsets so you can explore the cliffs of the Jurassic Coast safely.
5th August, get creative with found & recycled materials. Under supervision children will have fun with all kinds of tools as they let their imaginations run wild with the things they can create and invent - 14:00 - 16:30.
12th August - Free Beach Yoga and art sessions for families and children. 13:30-15:30
19th August, Oops Wow & Thriving Wild will be getting creative and messy. 13:30-15:30
28th August. Get creative with found & recycled materials. Under supervision children will have fun with all kinds of tools and let their imaginations run wild with the things they can create and invent 14:00-16:00
3rd September with Oops Wow & Thriving Wild - Art & Nature Play on the beach. 13:30-15:30.

- Meeting point
Join us down on Hive Beach. Most sessions will be located to the left of the beach holiday cottage, positioned near the sea front. The work with waste plastic will be near the cafe.
- Suitability for children
This event is suitable for children and families.
- What to bring and wear
All events are outdoors and on/near the beach. Please wear weather appropriate clothing. There is a strong chance clothing may get messy so please don't wear anything which you want to keep clean !
- Other
The event is a free drop in session so no booking is required. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the stated end time to ensure you have some time to take part in activities.
