Estate Walk: White Mill and Shapwick

Take time to walk and discover the beautiful countryside surrounding the River Stour and the historic village of Shapwick. Distance: 5 miles, time approx. 3 hours

Start by the 18th century mill and then walk over rough pastures along this unspoiled stretch of the River Stour with much wildlife to spot. Arrive at the picturesque village of Shapwick and back through a country lane and drove to White Mill.

This walk includes a stop at White Mill, a 1776 mill, where you will be joined by the Custodians.

Distance: 5 miles, time approx. 3 hours

What to bring and wear

Please wear appropriate sturdy walking shoes and clothing for the weather conditions. Ground can be wet and muddy following rain. Please bring any food and drink needed.
