Heritage Open Days - The Wrecks Of Studland Bay

Join us to find out more about two of the local shipwrecks and Purbecks industrious 13th century past.

Find out about the 17th century Swash Channel wreck, the Fame of Hoorn, and the 13th century mortar ship wreck. learn about the height of Purbeck industry with Purbeck marble and mortars.

Family friendly event, with displays and activities. Clay tile making and pirate dress up for the kids. Demonstrations of medieval encaustic tile making at 11am and 2pm.

Accessible carpark at Knoll Beach, with access path to toilets, changing places, cafe and shop. Event space is partially wheelchair accessible.

At the Discovery Centre, Knoll Beach, first left as you come down the driveway.
