Sculpture at Hidcote

1 September – 2 November 2025

(Free event, normal admission applies. No need to book.)

This autumn, Hidcote is hosting a major sculpture exhibition of more than 200 inspiring works of art by almost 50 different artists, which will be on display throughout the gardens and in the Exhibition Hall of the Manor House.

Visitors are invited to explore and be inspired by a vast array of sculptures, punctuating avenues and emerging from unexpected corners. This eclectic exhibition encompasses a wide variety of styles and materials, from marble, granite and ceramics to aluminium, gold and glass.

Curated by David Waghorne and Kate McGovern from Sculpture Events, the exhibition features both local and internationally acclaimed sculptors and has been carefully curated to complement the different areas of the garden and suit all tastes and budgets, with each sculpture being for sale. Every purchase helps to keep Hidcote thriving, as a percentage of each sale will go directly to support the ongoing upkeep and conservation of Hidcote for generations to come.

Covering themes such as the environment, sustainability and the intricacies of human nature, pieces that feature in the exhibition have been inspired by the natural and wild world, human emotions, the uniqueness of our points of view and the materials themselves – including alabaster, bronze, aluminium and stained glass.

Legend, Myth and Fairytales at Hidcote by Anderson & Low

2026

Photographic artists Jonathan Anderson & Edwin Low discovered Hidcote during the COVID pandemic, and felt themselves to have been transported to an oasis of calm, removed from the stresses and uncertainties of everyday life: “a world more akin to legend, myth and fairy tales than present life”.

Now, in collaboration with Hidcote National Trust, Anderson & Low will be creating an entirely new project, based around those first, primal reactions to discovering this magical garden, and created around the garden of Hidcote, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality. The project will be premiered at hidcote in 2026.

Collaborating since 1990, Anderson & Low’s photographic art resides in numerous museums and collections, including the National Portrait Gallery (London), the Victoria & Albert Museum (London), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Cleveland Art Museum, Museum of Fine Art, Houston and the National Gallery of Australia.

Their work is recognised for stretching the normal boundaries of photography, and the pair have worked with both the Star Wars and James Bond franchises.

We are very excited to welcome them to Hidcote for this unique new exhibition.
