From the 31st January to the 1st March, Newark Park is celebrating the snowdrop as the herald of spring and new beginnings.
In the garden, there will be displays of snowdrops dotted throughout the paths. Discover poetry in the garden that have been inspired by this little white flower dating back to the 19th century.
There will be a free well-being trail as you wander around the garden. As you walk along the paths, look out for the prompts that will lead you on a walk of remembrance, new beginnings and hope inspired by the meanings of this small, delicate flower.
Meanwhile, in the house, there will be an art display of snowdrops. The local community, including schools and volunteers, have been creating snowdrops to display on the ground floor of the house. Learn about the stories and history of the flower whilst taking in the display.
