Taster Dowsing Workshop

Join Andrew and Barbara at Tinkley Gate for a free dowsing taster as they delve deeper into the ancient practice of dowsing. Make up your own mind whether it is science or fiction!

  • Booking advisable

Join Andrew and Barbara at Tinkley Gate café for a free, informal workshop exploring the ancient practice of dowsing. Used for centuries to locate water and places of interest, dowsing continues to spark curiosity and debate to this day. Is it a subtle science, an intuitive art, or simply folklore? This session invites you to decide for yourself.

Andrew and Barbara will share the history and principles behind dowsing, demonstrate traditional tools such as rods and pendulums, and explain how people have used them across different cultures and time periods. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in simple, guided exercises and experience dowsing first-hand in a relaxed, friendly setting.

No prior knowledge or belief is required—just an open mind and a willingness to explore. Whether you’re a curious skeptic, a history enthusiast, or someone interested in earth energies and intuition, this workshop offers a chance to learn, question, and experiment. Come along, enjoy the atmosphere of Tinkley Gate café, and make up your own mind: science or fiction?
