Festival of Archaeology

Festival of Archaeology returns this year at Hinton Ampner. It is a perfect opportunity to celebrate all those who share a passion for archaeology across the UK.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Join us 25th July - 2nd August for an inspiring day out with all the family, celebrating the Festival of Archaeology. Explore our walled garden exhibition and take the chance to chat with the HART team, who will be on hand throughout the event. Younger visitors can pick up a spotter sheet to help guide their discoveries.

There will also be guided walks every day at 11am, where you can walk with a guide and discover the archaeology of Hinton Ampner, learning more about the history and hidden features of the site.

Rest easy, you can depend upon the passion, skills and knowledge of the Hinton Ampner Heritage Archaeology Ranger Team (HART) to furnish you with the know-how and confidence to get the most out of your archaeological adventure - whether it’s your first visit or your eightieth.
