Come and join us for an immersive deep dive into a Stanley Spencer painting, followed by a World War One poetry reading. Each painting talk and poetry reading lasts approximately 15 minutes.

Once a month there is an opportunity to join us for a deep dive into an individual painting given by one of our experienced Chapel Stewards. This exclusive opportunity will last approximately 15 minutes and help you understand Stanley’s painting style, his inspiration and context within the setting. This is then followed by a unique experience of hearing poetry from World War one poets spoken in the Chapel. Painting talks are at quarter past the hour (last talk at 2.15pm) Poetry readings are at quarter to the hour (last reading at 2.45pm).

Meet the volunteer inside the main Chapel.

There are gravel paths leading from the accessible parking into visitor reception. There is ramped access into the Chapel suitable for manual wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
