Randy-O Medieval Fayre at Newtown
Medieval mischief, traditional games and summer wildlife – the Randy-O brings history to life in the heart of nature.
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Inspired by the historic fayre once held at Newtown, the Randy-O invites you to travel back in time and enjoy a taste of medieval life. This much-loved summer event returns with family-friendly fun and plenty of outdoor adventure.
Try your hand at traditional archery, have a go at stool ball and get a photo in the stocks. Little ones can join the hunt for hidden mice, or are they rats? And learn about the mysterious Pied Piper of Newtown. There’ll also be a chance to test your balance with a tightrope challenge.
It’s the perfect excuse for a day out in nature too. Set within one of the Isle of Wight’s most peaceful places, Newtown’s flower-filled meadows, winding creeks and ancient woodland are teeming with summer wildlife – from butterflies and dragonflies to red squirrels and summer migrant birds.
