- Free event (admission applies)
In 2026, we’re marking 60 years since Chartwell opened to the public on 22 June 1966. This autumn, discover Chartwell through the memories of our supporters. Over the summer, we asked visitors to share their personal stories; moments of joy, reflection, and connection that reveal what makes this place so special. We are collecting these memories together in a unique outdoor display, inviting you to explore Chartwell in a new way. As you wander, you’ll uncover stories shaped by generations of visitors, each one adding to the rich tapestry of this remarkable place. From treasured family visits to favourite views and quiet corners, these shared experiences offer a heartfelt tribute to Chartwell and the people who continue to bring its story to life. Will you spot a memory of your own? You do not need to pre-book for this event.
