Experience a performance of music in the drawing room at Ightham Mote as part of the Music at Malling programme of events.
Star soprano Ruby Hughes and pianist Huw Watkins perform a programme of songs old and new, combining settings by Brian Elias and Deborah Pritchard alongside a spectacular Schubert and Müller piece, The Shepherd on the Rocks. The poet Wilhelm Müller’s granddaughter Beatrice lived at Ightham Mote all her adult life.
The concert includes a talk by Amanda-Jane Doran, Collections & House Manager of Ightham Mote, on the Mendelssohn family and the property’s connection to German Romantic poet Wilhelm Müller.

Designated parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in the main car park. Gardens have a mixture of gravel and grass paths, some steep slopes, undulating terrain and steps. Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the site. There is step-free access to the Drawing Room.
