Heritage Open Day at Ightham Mote

Celebrate Heritage Open Day at Ightham Mote on Thursday 17 September with free admission to the garden and house. Join a free garden or history talk and discover more about the medieval moated manor house.

Heritage Open Day is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together local people, organisations and thousands of volunteers. Every year, people come together across England to celebrate their heritage, community and history.

On Thursday 17th September only, admission to Ightham Mote will be free for all. This includes entry to the garden, house and car park. Last entry to the house and garden is 4.30pm and they close at 5pm.

We will also be offering free history talks at 11.15am, 12.15pm & 2.15pm, and free garden talks are available at 11.40am and 1.40pm. For more information on the talks, please ask in Visitor Reception on arrival.
