Join us for a day of spectacular aerial displays in the grounds of South Foreland Lighthouse. Kent Kite Flyers will be with us all day, displaying their aerobatic and eye-catching designs.

We're all familiar with toy kites and the struggle we usually have to fly them! Now you can join us and see how it's really done. Kent Kite Flyers will be at South Foreland from 11 am until 5 pm with their beautifully designed devices. Demonstrations take place throughout the day - and best of all - it's completely free.

- Suitability
Supervised children are welcome.
- Meeting point
The event takes place in the South Foreland Lighthouse compound.
- What to bring and wear
The weather can change rapidly on the cliffs, so please dress appropriately. We recommend stout shoes and trousers for the walk to the lighthouse.
- Accessibility
Our additional parking area will be open, and this is 15 minutes' walk from the Lighthouse. Part of the walk will be on grass and may not suit some mobility scooters or wheelchairs.
- Other
This is a dog-friendly event. Water drinking bowls are provided. Please keep your dog under close control, as some people may feel uncomfortable if they get close. Assistance dogs only in the tearoom, shop and lighthouse tower, please. The event is free to enter, and no booking is needed. Normal parking charges apply - National Trust members and valid Blue Badge holders can park for free. There are no toilet facilities at the additional parking area. The nearest toilets are at the Lighthouse. The car park entrances are locked at 7 pm. A release fee applies after this time.
