Do you love history, meeting people, and sharing amazing stories? Join our friendly volunteer team and help bring two of Kent's most fascinating heritage sites to life: the Second World War tunnels and gun emplacement at Fan Bay and the iconic South Foreland Lighthouse. As a guide, you will lead visitors through the historic emplacement, tunnels or lighthouse; share captivating stories of the people and events that shaped these unique places; and you'll help create unforgettable experiences for our visitors. As a Greeter, you will welcome visitors with a friendly smile; provide information and prepare guests for their adventure; you will be the face of our historic sites, helping visitors feel at home. When you volunteer here, you'll meet new people and make friends; gain valuable skills and experience; learn about local history and heritage; and help conserve special places for future generations. At White Cliffs and South Foreland Lighthouse, there's always something exciting happening, and we need passionate volunteers to help make it all possible. We'd Love to Hear From You! Come and discover how you can make a difference while having fun and learning something new!
