Whether you're looking for a hearty breakfast to kickstart your day, a light lunch to reward a morning's exploring or a delicious ice cream to cool you down mid-adventure, you'll be well catered for here at Fell Foot.

The Boathouse Café

Overlooking Lake Windermere, the Boathouse Café is open seven days a week from 10am in winter or 9.30 in summer. Remember, every purchase you make will help us to look after this special place.

Breakfast

During the summer months start your day with a hot breakfast bap, or a fresh pastry straight from the oven with a cup of coffee or tea. Our reduced breakfast menu over winter includes toast and teacakes, as well as our usual selection of cakes, bakes and hot drinks.

Lunch

After a morning of exploring, choose from our range of tasty hot snacks, freshly prepared sandwiches, jacket potatoes and one-pot meals like our spring chicken casserole or mixed bean chilli.

Cakes and bakes

Treat yourself to something sweet and tasty, freshly baked in Fell Foot’s own kitchen.

Ice cream parlour

Just next to the Boathouse Cafe, you’ll find the ice cream parlour with a great selection of cones and tubs of delicious Northern Bloc ice cream. Open daily, 1-4pm from Easter until the end of October.

Bring a picnic to Fell Foot

If you'd rather bring your own food with you, please remember that barbecues and gas stoves aren't allowed in the park, but picnics are always welcome. Please just make sure to take your rubbish home with you to help look after this special place. Thank you.

Allergen information

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.

Always check when you visit

Visited before? We sometimes change our recipes to improve quality and flavour, including the ingredients. When you visit, please speak to one of our team to check the current allergen information for your favourite dish.

Thank you

Every cuppa or tasty treat you buy helps us to continue looking after places for everyone to enjoy.
