Step inside to discover a cosy, storybook Christmas at Hill Top. Where Beatrix Potter’s characters have set the scene with twinkling decorations, soft music and playful festive surprises. Saturday 7 November - Sunday 13 December.

In the house

Discover scenes from Beatrix Potter’s delightful festive illustrations brought to life. With stockings at the end of the bed, animals dancing around a twinkling tree and the warm scent of gingerbread in the air.

Lights and sounds 

There will be softly twinkling lights on the Christmas tree and festooned along the path in the garden. Inside you might hear the gentle sounds of music in some of the rooms.

In the garden

Can you help Peter Rabbit to post his Christmas cards? Follow the trail around the garden.

Shopping

The shop at Hill Top will be open from 10am-4pm, offering a range of books, gifts, toys, prints. There will be brand new limited edition pin badge for Christmas.

Winter at Sizergh 

There’s winter wonder for the whole family at Sizergh, near Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District.

Visitors, including parents with a small child who is holding his mothers hand, walking around the light trail at Sizergh. The trees are lit up in different colours and Victorian-style lampposts are hung with luminous globes.
