The remains of the gunpowder works are a fascinating feature of Sizergh’s landscape, so discover this piece of local history. Walking the site, you'll explore the remains of the gunpowder works and hear from our knowledgeable volunteers about the work that took place here.

The postcode is LA8 0JZ (grid reference is SD 50849 87619). Follow signs or directions towards Kendal Caravan and Motorhome Club. Close to the location there will be signs directing you to parking.

What to bring and wear

Stout footwear is required as some of the paths are a bit rough.
