Summer of Play at Sizergh

Have lots of fun this summer at Sizergh, from 4 July to 1 September. From dressing up and lawn games, to musical instruments, sports sessions and the scallop trail in the house (plus lots more), there's loads to get stuck into.

Dress up and explore Sizergh's past and the lives of the family who lived here – choose a hat and make your way up the front steps, just like the guests arriving at Sir Gerald’s garden party. Or try your hand at skipping and lawn games like the ones the Strickland children once played.

Head to the Walled Garden to get hands on at the sensory station and discover a plant that smells like cola bottle sweets. Play musical instruments and ride on toy cars, there's loads to get stuck into in the gardens.

Ready, set, play! Burn off some energy on the field by the Wild Play Trail where you'll find outdoor sports, including badminton, football nets, tug of war, frisbees, sack races and bean bag toss.
